Yadish-Bakhair: This book in Urdu, is a compilation of those numerous essays and personal notes of Syed Siraj Alam (1886-1961), which he wrote in the late 1950s, during his retirement years in Gujranwala, Punjab, Pakistan. The book form was given by re-arranging those works into five chapters: “Secrets of the Prayer”, “Unicity of God and Reality of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)”, “Obedience to the Holy Prophet (PBUH)”, “The Path of the Holy Prophet” and “Correspondence with a Friend”. Yadish-Bakhair is hence a compilation of varied forms of writings: expression of ideas supported by high Persian Sufi poetry, rigorous argumentative narration based on references from authentic Islamic sources.
